Tumblebook Library is a fantastic collection of read-aloud fiction and non-fiction books geared towards younger students, but all can enjoy!

 

 

OCS Databases for Research

Fact CiteFact Cite is a great research database offering topics in States, Science, American History, Social Studies, World Mythology, and Biographies.

world book encyclopedia

World Book Encyclopedia is an excellent research database that offers a variety of options.  You can go to World Book Kids to research, find activities, play games, and watch educational activities.  World Book Student offers more detailed information.  You can also read a variety of eBooks and look at Timelines on all kinds of topics. 

Scholastic go! 

Scholastic GO! contains more than 115,000 articles covering every core-curriculum subject. The articles and their illustrations are derived from the content of seven Scholastic encyclopedia databases: Encyclopedia AmericanaGrolier Multimedia EncyclopediaThe New Book of KnowledgeAmerica the BeautifulLands and PeoplesAmazing Animals of the World, and The New Book of Popular Science.

Gale in Context-Elementary is a database that offers a wide-range of topics as well as news, pictures, and videos.  This a good resource when searching for information. 

ebsco

Ebsco is a database that has a lot of information if you are researching a topic.  You can search by topic or keyword. You can also select the type of resource you are looking for as well as changing the lexile level.

PebbleGo is a curricular content hub specifically designed for K-2 students. Packed with informational articles, ready-made activities, and literacy supports for students of all abilities, it boosts engagement and fosters independent learning in core subject areas. 

PebbleGo Next provides a natural next step for 3rd-5th grade students with articles all aligned to state and national standards with a familiar, yet age-appropriate, experience and supports.
